Installation der Easyroam App über den Snap Store

Bisher wurde die Easyroam App über eine .deb-Datei für Debian-basierte Linux-Distributionen zur Verfügung gestellt. Ab sofort lässt sich Easyroam über Snap, den App Store für Linux auf einer Vielzahl von Linux-Distros installieren. Ggfls. muss Snap installiert werden. Schritt 0: Verbindung mit dem Internet
Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie für die Einrichtung von Easyroam eine Internetverbindung brauchen. Falls Sie auf dem Campus sind können Sie Ihr Gerät mit dem Netz "HHU", "HHU-Gast" oder mit ihrem Smartphone über einen Hotspot mit mobilen Daten verbinden.
Sollten Sie in der Vergangenheit auf Ihrem Gerät schon einmal eine eduroam-Verbindung eingerichtet haben, sollten Sie zunächst das alte Profil löschen.
Step 0: Connection to the Internet
Please note that you need an internet connection to set up Easyroam. If you are on campus, you can connect your device to the network “HHU”, “HHU-Gast” or with your smartphone via a hotspot with mobile data.
If you have already set up an eduroam connection on your device in the past, you should first delete the old profile.

Schritt 2: Installieren Sie die Easyroam-App mit Snap:
- Öffnen Sie Snap, geben Sie Easyroam in der Suchmaske ein und installieren Sie die Easyroam App

Open Snap, enter Easyroam in the search mask and install the Easyroam app
Schritt 3: Starten Sie Easyroam und klicken Sie auf Anmelden.
Step 3: Start Easyroam and click on Log in.
Schritt 4: Wählen Sie die "Heinrich-Heine Universität" aus.
Step 4: Choose the "Heinrich Heine University".
Schritt 5: Melden Sie sich mit Ihrer Unikennung und Ihrem Passwort an.
Step 5: Use your credentials to login.
Schritt 6: Geben Sie die Informationsübertragung frei.
Step 6: Allow your account information to be used.
Schritt 7: Nach dem Öffnen des Programms gelangen Sie auf eine Übersichtseite. In der Mitte befindet sich ein Knopf "Install new profile". Klicken Sie diesen an.

Schritt 8: Es öffnet sich ein Fenster, indem Sie gebeten werden den Vorgang zu bestätigen. Bestätigen Sie mit "Confirm".
Step 8: Confirm the process.
Schritt 9: Wenn Sie einen grünen Balken sehen, wurde das Zertifikat erfolgreich instaliert. Sie können sich jetzt im Eduroam Wlan anmelden.
Gegebenenfalls müssen Sie Ihr Gerät neustarten.
Step 9: If you see a green bar, the installation was a success. You can now access the eduroam wifi.

Wichtiger Hinweis: Denken Sie daran, dass Sie das eingerichtete Zertifikat alle 3 Monate neu anfordern müssen. Dazu öffnen Sie die Applikation (je nach Betriebssystem) und wählen unter Verwalten bzw. beim entsprechenden Zertifikat Neu Anfordern. Important Note: Remember that you must request a new certificate every 3 months.
