You can set the permission in experiments and database in the edit mode. Click the "..." symbol and go to "Manage Permissions".


After that, a window opens with visibility and write permissions.

By default you have the choice between:

  • public = Everybody with a link to your file can access it (and additionally everyone with an account)
  • Everyone with an account = All eLabFTW users of the HHU or the university hospital
  • Only the team = All team members
  • Only you

I advise against the first two options and recommend the use of self-generated groups (see the following tutorial).

If you select experiments or databases in the overview, you can also set the visibility.
