Wir beschäftigen uns mit effizienten Algorithmen für die Clusteranalyse und für andere Probleme aus der algorithmischen Datenanalyse, dem Netzwerkentwurf oder der Kombinatorik allgemein. Dabei spielen Algorithmen für große Daten genauso eine Rolle wie die Untersuchung von praxisnäheren Problemformulierungen oder die Verbindung von Theorie und Praxis in Anlehnung an das Gebiet Algorithm Engineering.

Welcome to the Chair of Algorithms and Data Structures

In our research, we develop and analyze efficient algorithms for cluster analysis and for other problems from the fields of algorithmic data analysis, from the field of network design or from combinatorics in general. Aspects of our work include algorithms for big data, the study of more practically relevant problem formulations and the connection between theory and practical applications (algorithm engineering).
