Job description: The successful candidate will work in the research group ‘Quantitative and Theoretical Biology’. In close collaboration with experimental groups in CEPLAS, s/he will develop dynamic models simulating enzymatic processes involved in cell-wall degradation. The techniques used include ordinary differential equations and stochastic simulations. The models will be analysed using modern mathematical and computational techniques.
Your profile:
PhD Master degree in physics, biophysics, bioinformatics or a related discipline
Substantial knowledge and experience in using and analysing differential equations
General knowledge of biochemistry and physical chemistry
Knowledge of biology, botany and metabolism would be an asset
Reliable and responsible attitude
Programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C++, etc.)
Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
