(Guest-)IDM (Identity Management)

Every student/ worker at HHU has an IDM (Identity Management Number or university username). You will need the IDM to access the university email server, internal file server, VPN-gated networks, university portals, even the internal part of this Wiki. 

You will receive the IDM via post - the letter will contain all information about activation and what to use it for. Find more information about the IDM here.

A guest IDM can be applied for if someone is working with the group but not on a contract basis (e.g. collaborations, delayed official start, other reasons) which allows the person access.
