Schritt 0: Löschen Sie, wenn Sie bereits mit Eduroam verbunden waren, alte Eduroam-Profile. Bitte beachten Sie, falls Sie auf dem Campus sind müssen Sie Ihr Gerät nun auf anderem Wege mit dem Internet verbinden z.B. mit HHU, HHU-Gast, einem Hot Spot oder mobilen Daten.

Step 0: Delete old eduroam profiles if you have ever been connected to eduroam. Please note that if you are on campus, you must now connect your device to the Internet in another way, e.g. with HHU, HHU-Gast, a hot spot or mobile data.

Schritt 1: Öffnen Sie die Webseite easyroam.de und suchen Sie nach Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Klicken Sie darauf, um weiterzukommen.

Step 1: Open the web page easyroam.de and search for Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf  resp. Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (depending on the language setting). Now click it to get rerouted.

 Schritt 2: Sie sollten sich nun auf der Shibboleth-Anmeldemaske befinden. Verifizieren Sie sich mit (1) Ihrer Uni-Kennung und dem (2) dazugehörigen Passwort.

Sie erfahren folgend welche Informationen an den DFN-easyroam Dienst übermittelt werden. Klicken Sie um weiterzukommen auf "Aktzeptieren".

Step 2: Now on the Shibboleth login mask log in with (1) your university username and the (2) corresponding password.

You will then be informed which information is transmitted to the DFN-easyroam service. Click on "Accept" to continue.

Schritt 3: Nun auf der Startseite der easyroam- Webseite, klicken Sie auf "Manuelle Konfiguration für Apple-Geräte".

Step 3: Now the easyroam home page you can switch to English on "Sprache: Deutsch" in the bottom right corner if you like. Then click on "Manual Options for Apple devices".

Schritt 4: Geben Sie dem nun einzurichtenden Zertifikat einen eindeutigen Namen und klicken Sie dann auf "Zugang generieren".

Erlauben Sie "www.easyroam.de" einen Download vorzunehmen.

Step 4: Give the certifcate you are now installing a clear name and click on "Generate profile".

Allow "www.easyroam.de" to download a file.

Schritt 5: Sobald der Download abgeschlossen ist, finden Sie die geladene Datei im Download-Ordner. Machen Sie einen Doppelklick auf die Datei "vonIhnengewähltenName.mobileconfig".

Sie bekommen dann eine Meldung "Profil geladen" und klicken Sie "OK".

Step 5: As soon as the download is complete, you can find the downloaded file in Downloads. Double click the file with the name "inputedName.mobileconfig"

You will receive a pop-up that the profile is downloaded.

Schritt 6: Öffnen Sie die Systemeinstellungen, öffnen Sie den Bereich "Allgemein", scrollen Sie herunter und klicken Sie auf "Geräteverwaltung".

Step 6: Open the system settings, open "General", scroll down and click on "Device Management".

Schritt 7: Klicken Sie auf das eduroam Profil. Es öffnet sich ein Fenster, in dem Sie gefragt werden, ob das Profil wirklich installiert werden soll. Klicken Sie "Installieren".

Geben Sie Nutzername und Passwort Ihres Geräts ein. Das Profil ist dann erfolgreich installiert.

Ggf. muss das Gerät nach Abschluß der Installation einmal neu gestartet werden.

Wenn die Verbindung nicht automatisch hergestellt wird, klicken Sie auf "Verbinden". Nun sollte in den Geräteeinstellungen eine sichere WLAN-Verbindung zum Netzwerk Eduroam bestehen und angezeigt werden. 

Step 7: Click on the eduroam profile. A window will open, where it asks for confirmation to install the profile. Click "Install".

Your device will now ask for the device's password (or your fingerprint) to authorise the installation of the profile. Done!

If necessary the device has to be restarted after the installation has finished.

If the connection is not automatically established, go to the Wi-Fi settings and connect to eduroam. A secure WLAN connection to the Eduroam network should now exist and be displayed in the device settings.

Wichtiger Hinweis

Denken Sie daran, dass Sie das Zertifikat alle 3 Monate neu anfordern müssen. Dazu erneut dieser Anleitung folgen. 

 Sollte das alte Zertifikat noch gültig sein müssen Sie es löschen bvor Sie das Neue anfordern.

   Important note

Please remember that you must request a new certificate every 3 months.  To do this, follow these instructions again. 

 If the old certificate is still valid, you must delete it before requesting the new one.

Schritt 1: Klicken Sie oben links auf das Apfel-Symbol (1) und wählen Sie "Systemeinstellungen" (2) aus.

Step 1: Click the apple icon (1) in the upper left corner and select "System Preferences" (2).

Schritt 2: Klicken Sie auf "Allgemein" und dann auf "Geräteverwaltung".

Step 2: Click on "General" and then on "Device Management" (2).

Schritt 3: Klicken Sie auf das Profil "Eduroam" (1) und dann auf "-" (2) um dieses zu entfernen.

Step 3: Click on the profile "Eduroam" (1) and then on "-" (2) to remove it.

Schritt 4: Bestätigen Sie den Prozess mit "Entfernen". Geben Sie Nutzername und Passwort Ihres Geräts ein. 

Das Profil wurde entfernt.

Step 4: Confirm the process with "Remove". Your device will now ask for the device's password (or your fingerprint) to authorise the removal of the profile.

The profile has been removed.
